Love Your Neighbor

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.  For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.”

Galatians 5:13-15

Can you imagine if all of our laws came down to one word? … Love.

What if all our interactions came down to one word?  … Love.

What if didn’t try to change, belittle, or tear down each other with rhetoric and unkindness?

What if we just tried to show love to our neighbors?

That’s the kind of love we like to focus on in February.  And just as Galatians 5:14 says the whole law is fulfilled in one word – to love your neighbor as yourself, you’re invited to share a really short note of encouragement or love on a sticky note and leave it up in your neighborhood. Together we can show our community that Love does stick and can come from everyone around.
