How to share Easter with your children
Easter is part of the Christian faith, but it can be difficult to talk about Easter with our children. One of the biggest myths we believe is that young people don’t care about the evidence of faith that our generation knows and understands. However, Easter is not just about bunnies and candy in a basket, but about something very important that actually happened.
Lee Strobel, the author of The Case For Christ, shares how he teaches his grandchildren about Easter.
I can ask them: “How do you know that I love you as a grandfather?”
“Oh well, because you take care of us, give us hugs, and encourage us.”
I tell them, “That’s right. You can see in the evidence that I love you and you know, the same is true of God. God has left evidence of his love for us, and that evidence is in Easter. Jesus died so that we can be freed from our sins. He rose from the dead so we can spend eternity with Him.”
That is one of the great joys of life, to be able to tell someone that there is hope. There is redemption. There is eternal life. This is not a fairy tale, a fantasy or an illusion. You can know it’s true. You can meet Jesus personally and he can open the gates of Heaven for you.

Jesus died so that we could be freed from our sins.
“It happened that there was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, approaching the tomb, rolled back the stone.” – Matthew 28:2
He rose from the dead so that we could spend eternity with Him.
“He is not here, for He is risen.” – Matthew 28:6
“But thank God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” – 1 Corinthians 15:57
